Evidence from client files

Client accounts of cash-flow verification work, including corrections, constraints and the practical result for loan applications.

Evidence from client files

“We had treated transfers from a second bank account as new receipts. Adapter separated them, reconciled the true customer deposits and showed us exactly what needed correction. The loan request became smaller, but it matched the cash the business could carry.”

— Owner, commercial cleaning business, Durban

“The review asked for more invoice evidence than I expected, and finding old delivery notes took time. The final schedule gave our accountant and adviser one set of monthly figures to work from.”

— Director, food wholesaler, Pietermaritzburg

“Their downside case placed our December closure beside the first repayment. We changed the drawdown timing rather than pretending every month traded evenly.”

— Workshop partner, North Coast

Client story: seasonal receipts made visible

A KwaZulu-Natal uniform supplier applied for working capital ahead of its school-order peak. Annual accounts showed adequate profit, yet the original forecast spread receipts evenly across the year. Our reviewer matched 12 months of deposits to invoice runs and found that most receipts landed in two concentrated periods.

The revised schedule retained the same annual sales expectation but displayed the trough before the second buying cycle. Existing vehicle instalments and VAT dates were added. The owner submitted a lower facility request with a drawdown pattern aligned to purchase orders. The lender still required security information outside our scope, but did not ask the owner to rebuild the cash forecast.

Client story: owner funding was not turnover

A small fabricator’s management report included several round-number credits among monthly sales. Bank tracing showed that these were temporary advances from directors. We removed them from operating receipts, documented repayment expectations and recalculated cash available for debt service.

This reduced historical coverage. The applicant postponed submission, secured a longer customer contract and returned with three months of cleaner evidence. Our work did not create the contract or guarantee approval; it showed what the first file could not support.
